I don’t know what you tell the people who live at the southern border. I guess they better arm up and get guns and be ready and maybe they are going to have to take matters into their own hands. It should never happen. These people should never make this dangerous journey here. Lara Trump on Fox News 2021

Lara Trump is a former TV producer and current Republican National Committee co-chair (a position Donald Trump chose her for), who is married to Eric Trump. Earlier this year, the RNC sent out a scripted robocall on her behalf claiming “massive fraud” in the 2020 election. In regards to Trump’s 34 felony convictions determined by a jury of his peers, Lara Trump claimed the “convictions have been ‘a positive for him’ because people ‘see how third-world and communist it is, and they do not want to see this as the future of America.’” She also suggested that GOP voters would approve of the RNC paying Trump’s legal fees.

She has told right-wing news anchor Eric Bolling that the RNC has poll watchers ready to watch voters cast their ballots, as well as “people who can physically handle the ballots.” She also suggested the RNC had a top notch legal strategy that included “lawsuits in 81 states.”

She has also expressed a desire to hire Scott Presler–a conspiracy theorist and election denier who attended the January 6 events that preceded the violent attack on the Capitol and called the rally “the largest civil rights protest in American history”–for the RNC’s “legal ballot harvesting division.” Presler promotes the QAnon conspiracy that our government is controlled by Satan-worshiping pedophiles whom Trump will bring to justice. Pressler has also worked for the Act for America group that the Southern Poverty Law Center designates as an anti-Muslim “hate group.”

Lara Trump was also in attendance at the “Stop the Steal” rally that preceded the insurrection on the Capitol. The organizers of the rally, Women for America First’s Amy and Kylie Kremer, used burner phones to communicate with Trump’s inner circle, which included Lara Trump. Though she was not part of Trump’s administration, she did serve as a senior advisor to Trump’s reelection committee.

Shortly after the January 6th committee contacted Sean Hannity for a voluntary interview, Lara Trump appeared on his show and claimed that Donald Trump did not incite violence among his supporters to attack the Capitol after weeks of spreading false claims that the 2020 election results were doctored. Lara claimed, “They all know that Donald Trump didn’t orchestrate this whole thing[…] He didn’t tell people to go to the Capitol and break in, he said, ‘Let’s peacefully and patriotically make our voices heard.” While Trump did say that, he also said, “If you don’t fight like hell you’re not going to have a country anymore” and called on them to march to the Capitol during his January 6 speech immediately preceding the insurrection.

Notably, the Trump political operation spent more than $700 million through America Made Media, an L.L.C., where Lara Trump sat on the board. She was also a “senior consultant” for Brad Parscale Strategy to aid Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign, which paid her at least $180,000. She also campaigned for Trump with conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer.

Before she was famous, Lara Trump was a producer for Inside Edition and later joined FOX as a contributor. While on FOX, she once speculated that Clippy the Microsoft Word assistant was spying on her documents. She left FOX in 2022.
